EXPERTISE

Pavlo is a competition lawyer with over 15 years of experience advising multinational companies, financial investors, and regulatory bodies on antitrust compliance, merger control, corporate structuring, and regulatory matters.

His competition practice is grounded in a rare combination of private practice expertise gained at top-tier Ukrainian law firms as well as direct regulatory experience. As the former Deputy Head of the Legal Department at the Antimonopoly Committee of Ukraine Pavlo advised the Committee’s executive leadership on complex regulatory, structural, and procedural matters, assessed corporate structures and group reorganisations for competition risk, and coordinated with international regulatory bodies on cross-border proceedings. This inside perspective on how competition authorities evaluate transactions and conduct investigations gives his clients a distinct strategic advantage.

In private practice, Pavlo has advised multinational clients across retail, energy, finance, and infrastructure on merger control filings, competition compliance programmes, and the antitrust aspects of cross-border M&A transactions. He has assessed group structures and market entry applications for regulatory risk across multiple sectors, and has experience navigating multi-jurisdictional regulatory processes involving EU, Ukrainian, and offshore jurisdictions.

Based in Berlin, Pavlo advises international clients on competition compliance, merger control and the regulatory dimensions of cross-border transactions. He works closely with the Bono Legal team on matters at the intersection of competition law, corporate structuring, and regulatory strategy.
